About Face Lift for Men
Face lift is a plastic procedure that is designed to restore a firm and youthful facial appearance as well as to reduce the must notorious signs of aging. It reduces excess of fat and redistributes it along the face and neck.
It is indicated for women between 40 and 60 that currently show signs of aging, including several wrinkles and loose tissue hanging.
During consultation, the surgeon will discuss your general health, examine your facial skin, tissue and bone structure, and inquire about your goals for surgery.
Face lift takes place at a surgical room under general anesthesia and usually takes between 2 and 3 hours.
After the procedure your face will be swollen and bruises that will disappear in 2 or 3 weeks will be notorious. During the first week after the surgery the patient must rest and keep the head in an elevated position.
Full activity, without restrictions, can usually be resumed after 3 weeks and sun exposure must be limited until bruises disappear. Returning to work takes places usually between 10 days and 2 weeks.
Face lift surgery is a very safe procedure and risks could be avoided when following the surgeon´s advice. Minor complications may include bruises, infections, Facial nerve injury, poor healing (must common in smokers) and hair loss at the incision site
Results would be visible once bruising disappears and the healing process is completed. Permanent results are not expected as all human beings age, however an aging process will be less notorious and the patient will have a more youthful appearance.
