Liposuction
or ultrasonic liposculpture
Techniques evolve and develops through out time and each technique differs
according to certain aspects of the patient. For instance, in order to evaluate
a body for a liposculpture procedure, different aspects have to be taken
into account like the skin type; tonicity of the abdominal muscles; characteristic
of the thorax, hips and thighs; as well as the proportions between body
parts. Dr. Gonzalez always analyzes these and other factors in order to
select the type of technique and technology to be practiced on a patient.
- Liposuction or ultrasonic liposculpture: extraction of
located fat. Two scars of 5 millimeters located above the pubis and at the
pleat of the gluteus.
- Mini-lipectomy with muscular mooring: stretching of the
skin located under the navel to move away the flaccidity. This procedures
is associated to muscular mooring of the navel downwards to remove that
"belly" and to improve the conformation of the waist. The scar
is located above the pubis and is approximately 12 to 16 cm of length.
- Mini-lipectomy associated to liposuction: is the combination of the two previous techniques to give a larger conformation so that the component of fat is removed together with the muscle-cutaneous one.
- Lipectomy or abdominoplasty: consists on the stretching
of the skin from the pubis up to the xiphoid (bony prominence located in
the middle of the thorax) where is carried out a xiphopubic muscular mooring
associated with the resection of the born skin and also with the transposition
of the navel (transposition: to change the location of the navel according
to the skin relocation so that it is situated in the same place before the
stretching). The scar is laterally located around the navel and above the
pubis with a length that varies from 28 up to 40 centimeters.
-CIAO Technique (Defined Waist, Flat Abdomen, Relocated
Navel): based on remodeling the waist thanks to the xipho-pubic muscular
mooring and the re-location of the navel without scar in itself. The scar
is at the pubis level - 12 to 16 centimeters- a minimum scar.
In general
terms, in plastic surgery there are many techniques but the most important
thing is the vision and the surgeon's experience to define which one is
the most convenient one in order to achieve a natural result, small scars
and the least incapacity
